I was skeptical about switching from traditional leather, but the TPU is so much more durable. It’s waterproof and sweat-proof, which is essential for Texas summers. It looks great and feels like it’s going to last for years.

This hat cinch is made of a type of plastic that holds it's shape but still has some flex, wipes easily to clean, and has and attractive color. It easily fits into both styles of western hats that I have. The black rubber bumpers are comfortable against my forehead and holds the hat on securely. I thought at first it would bother me to have this against my forehead, but instead it is more comfortable than jamming the hat over my eyebrows to keep it on my head.

Pretty neat gadget! Never thought I might need something like this, but it is indeed helpful. Fits on my cowboy hat band well and actually seems to be effective. Easy to store and carry with the included case to ensure it staying protected when not in use. Worth it, great quality.

This hat cinch works fairly well at keeping your hat on while riding, even at a full gallop my hat stays on most of the time and it works better on lower profile hat. Wearing a wide brim hat in a gust of wind though, you might as well get ready to chase your hat. To be fair though, I don’t think anything short of a chin strap will keep your hat on in a high wind. This hat cinch is comfort and I forget I am even wearing it most of the time. I like that it fits well and is invisible under my hat and looks so much better than having a cord around my neck. This silicone cinch is sweat resistant and can be wiped dry with a handkerchief. At the $29.99 price tag it’s a little expensive but it should last a long time and it’s better than chasing your hat in the wind.

While it certainly helps, it is not perfect. It does attached fairly easily. I do wish the package include some very basic instructions for first time users, but fortunately it is not difficult to figure out in terms of installing into the lining of a hat. It is comfortable and honestly you really do not even know it is in place when in use which is a plus. Ultimately, this item does help, it is comfortable, and it is not that expensive. It is certainly not perfect, but to be honest, I am not sure there is a perfect solution for cowboy hats with large brims in high winds.

Even though I grew up on a ranch and rode horses regularly, I now wear cowboy hats only occasionally. I do wear straw golf hats very frequently as I walk for exercise and like a brimmed hat for sun protection. Since it's often windy here, I sometimes struggle to keep my hat from blowing off my head. I've tried some different products to help with that and was happy to get this one and try it. So far, I'd say so good. This filler pad fits neatly into a hat band and stays in its place. The rubber pad in the center makes it comfortable against my forehead and also adds some anti-slip friction grip. This straps is thick enough that I think its durability will be very good. I do think it's of good quality, but I would only rate it as a moderately good value. I also think adding instruction photos would be a nice addition, although it's not too hard to figure out how to use it. I won't deduct a star from the rating as I am pleased with my experience with it so far. I wore it this morning in strong winds and my hat stayed secure.

This is a great invention!It is super easy to install. Slips right on to the sweat band.If your hat is snug, it will make it tighter, but if it's already loose, it will help to fit better.A good way to have a horse bolt is to have your hat fly off while riding, so you can say this is a life saver.I even use it in my baseball caps.I did not use the leather loop that comes with it. Not really sure what it is used for anyway.The storage box is a nice addition.Would be a great gift for a cowboy / cowgirl, or a kid.

I wasn't exactly sure how to use this but I think I figured it out. It has a hole and a string that confused me but I don't believe you use those and they are there if you wanted to say connect this to your keychain.You slip the end parts under the band of a hat and then you wear this essentially on your forehead. It takes up the extra slack your hat might have and also gives as a surface that adds more padding but some traction as well. It does seem to make loose hats more snug but is not adjustable itself so it has to be used for just the right hats.It seems durable enough and well made. The price seems a little high for what it is and how simple the construction is. It will fall off the band if you hat goes upside down and it doesn't stay secure on your hat. Overall, I think it is a fair product. I don't think I'll use it that much but there are some hats I have that I might use it for especially on a windy day.

I had no idea this even existed and I’m thrilled to have found it. I love my hats and some even have a hidden piece of ribbon in the brim that is supposed to help you tighten it, but it’s never small enough for my head. This hat cinch works in all my hats, from straw to heavy felt, i can wear any of them now and they stay put. So much cheaper and easier than other options! If your hat is too big for your noggin- try this!!

Okay here's what to know about this cinch. It doesn't come with in any instructions. It's pretty straightforward on how to use it and it does not work well with thin 1 in headbands. I have a straw hat I put it in and the first several times I used it it fell out pretty quickly. I ended up putting it on a side. But how I got it to stay put was I bent the wings if you could call the side pieces in significantly to create resistance on the inner band when I put it on. How long is it going to keep this shape I'm not for sure. If you had a wider than a 1-in band and it was stiff I'm for sure this would work extremely well in cowboy hats. I get it comes with a string which is confusing to carry it around but I don't see taking it out to carry it around in my case.

Awesome makes long oval round oval and at the same time will help stay on if you need up in a trot and your hat wont be laying under the horse .

Bought a new hat but it was wee bit big and I needed something to keep in on during gun training. Hat fit perfect with the little extra grith, and hat never move during all drills. This is a winner and price better than others. Thank you!
